All three have received the foundation's awards and show how much good can grow from a simple idea.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Omid Online School: education for girls in Afghanistan<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afghanistan is the only country in the world that bans girls from attending school beyond primary level. The Omid Online School, co-founded by Zahra Hashimi \u2013 the country's first online school \u2013 closes this gap: dedicated teachers teach girls from grade 7 onwards online, free of charge, and support them all the way to university. <a href=\"\/en\/omid-online-school\/\">Learn more about the Omid Online School \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Naturschutz2go: seeds instead of chewing gum<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2019, Jonte Mai from Bremen has been turning disused chewing gum and condom vending machines into seed dispensers filled with regional, insect-friendly seeds.
